The sharper looks are achieved by a deeper front spoiler in contrasting carbonfibre feeding a larger air intake, a new rear spoiler and sharp new 19-inch alloy wheels.
Bigger changes take place under the skin however, with the 4.7-litre V8 engine enhanced to produce 430bhp and 361lb.ft of torque, taken to the rear wheels via a new seven-speed Sportshift II automatic transmission. With seven short ratios and paddleshift operation it allows rapid gear changes. Pressing the dash-mounted Sport button increases the speed of changes still further, while also opening a bypass valve in the new exhaust system and switiching to a more aggressive throttle setting.
New springs and dampers all round compliment the wider wheels, while a quicker steering rack and new six-pot front brakes ensure sharper responses, while the ESP programme is revised specifically for the Vantage S.
The Vantage S is on sale now across Aston Martin’s worldwide dealer network. Prices are £102,500 for the coupe and £110,700 for the Roadster.
