Free motor show to draw in crowds

Tesla Roadster SportWith over 400,000 visitors expected and over 200 new cars on display the 2011 London Motorexpo is destined to be the biggest free automotive event this summer.

The Canary Wharf event is set to feature a record number of manufacturers this year including Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Saab, Skoda, Tesla, Vauxhall, Volkswagen and Volvo – to name just a few.

The week-long event runs from June 6 to June 12 and offers unrivalled access to cars. Visitors will be encouraged to touch and explore the diverse range of vehicles on display throughout the indoor and outdoor public spaces around the Canary Wharf estate. They also have the chance to get behind the wheel of many of the latest cars that the automotive market has to offer.

There will be a new feature at this year’s event which will give visitors a unique opportunity to experience the latest electric and low-carbon vehicles. Those who attend will have the chance to be among the first to test drive the new Vauxhall Ampera as well as other green cars including the Mitsubishi i-MiEV and Tesla Roadster.

The Land Rover Experience will give show goers the chance to try out the latest Land Rover models on the manufacturer’s man-made off-road and ice-driving courses.

The 2011 London Motorexpo is completely free for all members of the public to attend. It is open daily from 10am to 6pm Monday June 6 to Saturday June 11 and 11am to 5pm on Sunday June 12. Details on how to get there and information on the show are available at
