BMW Vision ConnectedDrive (concept)

BMW Vision ConnectedDriveNAME: BMW Vision ConnectedDrive

DEBUT: 2011 Geneva Motorshow

APPEARANCE: This solid looking two-seater roadster has some bold lines, a shark-like nose and a futuristic look. The main theme of the vehicle is the separate layers that demonstrate BMW’s latest ideas for the interface between car and driver in the online age. Inside, there’s a 3D head up display combining data such as speed and traffic hazards. Antennae replace exterior mirrors and transmit information about the outside environment.

PREDICTION: Rather than a peek at something likely to go into production, this concept is a study designed to highlight BMW’s driver assistance systems. However, some of the styling including the wraparound rear lights and layered body showed on the Vision ConnectedDrive will probably find its way onto future production BMWs.
