My first car was a 1976 Marina Coupe which I bought in 1979.
I learned to drive in her. My husband David and I toured in her as well as me using her for work.
We covered 100,000 miles in the seven years we had her.
She spent a lot of time towing as we had a trailer for firewood and also a caravan for holidays.
David persuaded me to have her resprayed light chocolate brown and banana yellow! Bless him.
Unfortunately in 1986, on the way to work, I bowled her over and she was written off.
I was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt, but my pride and joy was gone.
