Skoda celebrates Monte Carlo cenetary with special Fabia

Skoda has announced a special edition version of its Fabia model, designed to celebrate the centenary of the iconic Monte Carlo rally.

The Fabia Monte Caro will make its debut at the 2011 Monte Carlo Rally event, where the Czech manufacturer will be competing in the Fabia S2000 rally car.

Based on the SE trim level vehicle and available in hatchback guise only, the Fabia Monte Carlo will be available with a wide range of the engines and a raft of additional equipment.

Piano-black body trim, a black roof, black door mirror covers, a black radiator grille top, smoked headlamps and black 17-inch ‘Trinity’ alloy wheels are present on the exterior.

Inside, customers have the choice of black or red and black sports seats with additional side supports. Black roof lining, a perforated leather steering wheel with red stitching, leather handbrake, silver kick plates and steel pedals are also included.

Skoda celebrates 110 years of motorsport in 2011. In 2010 the Czech manufacturer took victory in the International Rally Championship in the Skoda Fabia S2000 car.
