DEBUT: 2011 Shanghai Motor Show
APPEARANCE: The SXC combines certain characteristics from the world of the SUV – strength, high driving position and protection with elegant, refined and modern looks – much closer to saloon styling than SUV. It looks muscular but also sleek and at the front are some distinctive feline headlamps and a floating grille. The trim around the side windows and other components are made of brushed aluminium which looks smart and upmarket.
PREDICTION: With rear-hinged doors, huge 22″ alloy wheels and pillarless design, the SXC is pure concept and there hasn’t been any confirmation of production plans yet. Whether it goes into production or not this modern looking crossover gives us a clue to how Peugeot design will evolve over the coming years.
