Michelin have created a YouTube video using puppets to spread awareness of the vital know-hows of tire maintenance. In theory a good idea- the only problem is that rather than paying attention to their great advice, we’re more distracted by the fact that the puppets are just plain terrifying.

The video, which was created by the Puppet Broadcasting Company, uses the puppets to highlight some of the worrying attitudes of people to tyre maintenance. These have been revealed numerous times to members of Michelin’s Fill Up With Air team that tours the UK and Ireland each year checking tyre pressures.

While the video incorporates various characters including a boy racer to educate motorists of the importance of getting into good habits, we can’t help but think the video loses its charm when the ones preaching driving safety look remarkably deathlike themselves.

Judging by the comments by fellow YouTube users, we’re not the only ones who think the puppets are creepy- have a look at the video for yourself and let us know what you think!
